Erases really well!

As an elementary music teacher, my classroom was missing a whiteboard, let alone staff lines. This magnetic grand staff was a great solution. I have a blackboard, so a large magnetic surface was needed. When I first opened it, it was rolled up and needed to be flattened out before placing it on the blackboard. After about 48 hours, it was ready to use. It works well and is easy to erase. A great product!

It fits well on a standard whiteboard. When I first opened it, it curled inward, so I had to roll it the other way to get it to stay flat. You need to press it firmly against the board to keep it in place, because if any part lifts, it's too heavy and will fall. I added magnets to the corners to help it stay. If you can store it unrolled, you won't need to do that. I can put magnets on top to represent notes and write on it with dry-erase markers. It comes with a grand staff...

This is such a useful learning tool. The size is perfect for teaching as a group or with individual students. It's easy to take anywhere you need it. I was worried it would be thin, but I was wrong. My students tap out rhythms on it with a drumstick, and it hasn't left a single mark. It's even better than I expected.

We set this up in the dining room, as it's our instrument practice area. We put it up and take it down depending on practice days. It's large, but it hangs nicely on the metal parts of the sliding glass door. We use it to take notes, build lessons, and learn notes. It's not big enough to compose a full symphony, but it's plenty large for learning note reading and practicing key spots. It's great for piano, guitar, and violin practice. I really like it. If we had more space, we'd buy another one.
